Thank you for taking part in this experiment. The experiment is divided into 4 stages.

1. In the first stage, in order to obtain a benchmark of your physiological responses to different types of questions, I will ask you 9 general questions in a multiple choice format. You will be told if your answer was right or wrong and will be asked why that was the link you chose.
   
2. You will then be given a one-page article to read with a search phrase to use on the search engine results page which will be presented to you in the next stage.
3. After you have read the article and any additional instructions, you will be directed to a search engine results page based on the search phrase which was presented to you in Step 2 and you will be required to choose 6 of the most suitable links on this page, again being asked why you chose a particular link.
4. In the final stage, you will be disconnected from the computer and I will ask you to come and sit with me on the other side of the computer screen. You'll be able to see what your eye movements were during the experiment and I will ask you further questions based on the choices you made in step 3.

Remember. You can stop at any time if you don't feel comfortable with any aspect of the experiment.
